Rutgers loses assistant coach to conference rival

He was an assistant coach at a Baltimore-area high school from 2009-13 before joining the Maryland staff as director of player personnel in 2015, when Locksley served as interim head coach following Randy Edsalls in-season firing. He signed a two-year deal with Rutgers in February that was scheduled to pay him $250,000 each season; there was no buyout in Robinsons contract. Robinsons replacement will inherit a room with one returning starter - freshman Avery Young - as well as redshirt sophomore Tre Avery, who missed almost all of this past season due to injury but is expected to be the favorite to win the other starting job. Michigan State claws to 14-10 win over Rutgers

I don't know anything about Giovanni Rescigno personally but I have a funny premonition that he'll become a very successful man in whatever endeavor he chooses. Like one of those guys who tells hilarious stories of the bad football team he played on in college as he orders another round for the table. For one thing, the outgoing senior Rutgers quarterback is from a very nice northern suburb of Detroit, so nice that Eminem lives there now. For another, he's survived some hard knocks in the college football biz and I've witnessed so many such young men rise from those fertile ashes.
