The No 19 Kingsway Regional High School wrestling team picked up as big a statement win as a program can earn, and junior Cheney Kinner delivered the signature moment of his career. The coaches gave me and (Finnegan McFadden) the option of who wanted to go first, said Kinner, whose older brother Quinn won two state titles and Trace captured a region crown. Freshman Dakota Morris set up Kinner with a 1-0 win at 132, giving Kingsway a three-point lead and criteria in the final bout. Kingsways McKenzie Bell notched a technical fall which would have given the Dragons criteria in case of a tie and Phillipsburg earned two majors.
